This house was designed as a guest house/caretaker's apartment for a local farm close to Montpelier, Vermont. The second floor houses the caretaker in a modern, bright lofty space. The guest quarters on the first floor are on a more intimate scale with an open floor plan and farmhouse details.
This is a warm open kitchen designed with simple painted cupboards, cabinets and drawers for storage and display. There is an old world quality to the space which is combined with a modern floor plan and detailing.
